…so this year I am captaining a team in the Beverly Hills Relay for Life to fight back!
May 7th, 2011 marks the ten year anniversary of the death of my husband from Hodgkins Disease. The impact of cancer on my life as a result of this was so significant that I left a successful twenty year career in the film industry to become a coach to cancer survivors & caregivers. Cancer stole the love of my life and the future we had planned together. So now I am helping to fight back to end this thief’s crime spree.

When my dear friend, Marni Battista asked me to join her as co-captain of her Dating With Dignity Relay for Life Team this year, there was only one obvious answer…YES. Together we are embarking on what I know will be a life transforming journey between now and April 30th.
There are over 12 million survivors in the United States today and millions of people will be diagnosed with cancer this year. But, by taking part in Relay, we are helping the American Cancer Society save lives by:
- Helping people stay well by educating them on prevention and early detection
- Helping people get well by supporting them through every step of their cancer experience
- Finding cures by funding groundbreaking research
- Fighting back by working with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rallying communities worldwide to join the fight
Together, we can be the change we wish to see in the world and create life transforming breakthroughs. Who doesn’t want to be a part of this kind of energy and intention?!
