In Part 1, Hotels For Hope AND For a Good Cause!, the organizations founder, Neil Goldman, shared with us how it all began. Today, he talks about some of the challenges, his formula for success and more about this incredible organization.
What were some of the challenges you faced?
Rebranding a pre-existing company was definitely a challenge. There was nothing wrong with Austin Hospitality. In fact, we were growing at a tremendous rate. But now I needed to change the face of our organization. The process of acclimating our clients, hotel partners and others was a “no brainer” but it took time.
Desire and determination. In business, just as in life, we all experience our ups and downs. I believed in what I was starting and kept focused on the task at hand.
What kind of organizations does Hotels for Hope work with?
We work with organizations of all shapes and sizes. Non-profits are incentivized to work with us as they receive a built in charitable donation plus cost savings. Additionally, we help companies, associations, sports organizations, weddings and numerous other event driven groups to manage their room night consumption.
How can non-profit organizations find out more about you and your organization?
Visit our website at www.hotelsforhope.org and click on the “charity” tab. We are always interested in bringing on new charities, if they meet our social mission guidelines and feel that a partnership with Hotels for Hope is a worthwhile endeavor.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
I can truly say I started this organization with the intent of changing the hotel industry. Now sixteen months in, I see the company has transformed who I am as a person. This is a labor of love and I am so grateful to be in the position I am today. Each morning I wake up with a desire to grow this organization.
Thanks to Neil for his time and please keep Hotels for Hope in mind for your upcoming business or event travel needs! Another inspired individual who turned his passion in travel into making a difference for others…my kind of story.
